We must realize that Biblical history reveals that God has always responded to sin. He has never winked at sin, ignored sin, or chosen to look past sin. God is a Holy God that always has and always will address sin. The Word of God is clear that sin always separates a person from God. We may think that because God did not respond at the moment somehow He is going to overlook it. God will never overlook sin. He will judge sin that is not under the blood of Jesus and He will forgive sin that is under the blood of Jesus.

We must understand that in the last days doctrines of devils are beginning to fill the earth. Every believer must be committed in the last days to contend earnestly for the faith that was once delivered to us. God is a God that never changes. Two things that we must focus on in the last days and that is to contend for the faith and beware of those who have crept into churches. Those who have crept in unaware are on a mission to compromise biblical truths about salvation.

This article is the beginning of five different articles that will be written that go through the book of Jude. It is imperative in the last days that we consider this book of the Bible which is considered one of the shortest books in the Bible but is extremely relevant. We live in an hour where gross darkness is filling the earth and signs of the times are running rampant. There are many lessons that are impactful that we can learn from the powerful book of Jude.

God desires to baptize His people in the Holy Ghost and fire. I remember being a young person many years ago who would watch people get baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking of tongues. I came home one day and as I stood in my bedroom I said, “Lord if this is real then baptize me in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.” As soon as I declared that to God it was as if the heavens opened up and the Holy Spirit invaded my heart as the language of heaven began to come off my lips and everything began to shift in my life. To be baptized in the Holy Spirit means to be immersed in the Spirit or to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Imagine your spirit, soul, and body being immersed in the Holy Spirit until you walk in power! Be sure to watch the video podcast as I expound on this topic. However, I want to give you 8 things that will happen when you are baptized in the Holy Spirit.

Every blood-bought believer in Jesus Christ must defeat the power of temptation. Temptation is defined as a desire or craving for something, especially something considered wrong. In Greek, it means a trial, testing, probation, or the process of being tried.

The nation is infused right now with people falling into sin as we are seeing it at the highest level of leadership across this nation. We have entered the hour of the great falling away. Every blood-bought believer must defeat the power of temptation. You must understand that temptation will come but God will always provide a way of escape.

We live in an hour where there has never been more of a need for discernment. Yet there is such a lack of discernment in the earth. People can’t seem to discern the patterns of the enemy. They can’t discern his spiritual traps that get them into a mess. Imagine a spirit realm in which hell is having a hay day because of what the powers of darkness are doing but it is going undetected by the believer. The reason that you can see somebody serving God for years and then suddenly the enemy wipes them out spiritually is because of a lack of discernment. If you cannot discern your enemy you cannot destroy him. Anything that you can expose by the power of the Holy Spirit you can also expel!

I believe not only America but the earth is entering it’s darkest hour. It will be the hour of the greatest spiritual warfare the earth has ever seen. We must arise and shine no matter how dark it gets on the earth.Isaiah 60:1–3 says, “Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.”I believe not only America but the earth is entering it’s darkest hour. Sudden chaos is consistently filling the earth as worry and fear grip the hearts of so many people. God desires that His people walk in peace instead of worry. Peace in Greek means to join to tie together into a whole. It also means essential parts are joined together. You are spirit, soul, and body. When spirit, soul, and body are joined together to God then peace will manifest in your life.

We live in an hour where we must be more discerning than we have ever been. The enemy has many plots and schemes in the last days that are assigned to wage war against your walk with God. The enemy’s primary goal is to steal, kill, and destroy. Once you can discern how the enemy operates then you will become more effective in overthrowing his battle strategies against your life.
