Sudden chaos is consistently filling the earth as worry and fear grip the hearts of so many people. God desires that His people walk in peace instead of worry. Peace in Greek means to join to tie together into a whole. It also means essential parts are joined together. You are spirit, soul, and body. When spirit, soul, and body are joined together to God then peace will manifest in your life.

Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Matthew 6:24-34 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”

1. GOD DOESN’T WANT YOUR BODY TO BE AFFECTED BY WORRY AND ANXIETY

Science reveals that worry and anxiety cause headaches, nausea, digestive issues, rapid heartbeats, shortness of breath, dizziness, lightheadedness, tremors, twitches, etc. Many do not realize that worry and anxiety is heavily impacting their immune systems. God is calling us to walk in His peace and not be overthrown by worry. The Word of God is clear that we should not worry about what we are going to eat, drink, or wear because God is fully able to take care of His children.

Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”

Romans 8:31 says, “If God be for us Who can be against us.”

Jeremiah 17:7-8 says, “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.”

Psalm 34:4 says, “I sought the Lord and he answered and he delivered me from all my fears.”

Proverbs 12:25 says, “Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, But a good word makes it glad.”

2. GOD’S TREATMENT PLAN FOR WORRY CURES FOR WORRY

Allow me to give you six things that are God’s biblical treatment plan to overthrow the power of worry in your life. As you walk out these things then you will overcome the spirit of worry with peace.

1. WALKING IN GOD’S PEACE

The Bible speaks of the three types of peace! Just Like there are 3 pieces to a Roman soldier’s sandal In spiritual warfare which are the sole, leather, and laces there are 3 types of peace that we can manifest in our lives.

Ephesians 6:15 says, “And having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace.”

These three types of peace are known as Peace with God, Peace From God, and Peace of God!

1. Peace With God

This is the beginning stage when you give your life to Jesus Christ! The Gospel of Jesus Christ transformed your life and at that moment you were at Peace with God!

Romans 5:1 says, “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

2. Peace From God

This peace is a quietness and rest in God that is undisturbed. The Holy Spirit wants to bring you peace from God.

John 14:27 says, “Jesus said Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

Ephesians 1:2 says, “Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

3. Peace of God

This peace is the peace of God that guards our hearts and minds in spiritual battle.

Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

2. RENOUNCE WORRY AND MAKE YOUR REQUEST WITH THANKSGIVING

Anytime worry invades your mind you should renounce all worry in your life. The time is now to declare that worry has no authority over your life. The scripture calls every believer to be anxious for nothing.

Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Be anxious for nothing.”

3. GET YOUR MIND OFF THE WRONG THINGS AND GET IT ON THE RIGHT THINGS

When worry comes then we should be sure to set our mind on the things above not the worries of this earth. When your mind is on the right things then worry will have a hard time impacting you.

Philippians 4:8 says, “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.”

Philippians 4:9 says, “The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.”

Isaiah 26:3 says, “You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, For in Yah, the Lord, is everlasting strength.”

4. WAGE WAR AGAINST WORRY IN THE SPIRITUAL REALM

We must wage war against worry by pulling down the thoughts and arguments of the enemy in our minds. You have the power of the blood of Jesus Christ and the power of the Word of God that you can execute against the spirit of worry.2 Corinthians 10:4-6 says, “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.”

5. WALK IN THE SPIRIT

Your flesh which is the sinful nature that everyone received through the fall of Adam loves to worry. This is why you have to choose to walk in the Spirit. The Word of God is clear that those who are led by the Spirit are children of God. Being led by the Spirit refuses to let your flesh convince you that worry is ok.

Galatians 5:16 says, “I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.”

6. CAST ALL OF YOUR CARES UPON JESUS

When worry comes we can defeat it by simply casting our cares upon Jesus Christ. You must exchange the negative feeling of worry for the joy and peace that God has promised you in His Word.

1 Peter 5:7-8 says, “casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”
