God is raising a generation that is clothed with power from on high. He never desired His people to attempt to accomplish the task of advancing His kingdom on the earth without power. It is frightening to consider how many people are going through the motions of Christianity living powerless lives as they hope to advance the Kingdom of God. The truth is that Jesus died on the cross, rose from the dead, and sent back His promised Holy Spirit to clothe His people in power to do exploits for His Kingdom. The time is now to get spiritually clothed in power as gross darkness has filled the earth and many call good evil and evil good.

Luke 24:49 says, “Behold I send the promise of My Father upon you, But You tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued clothed with Power from on high.”

1. PUTTING ON SPIRITUAL CLOTHING FROM ON HIGH

The question the church must answer is whether or not they have truly been clothed with power from on high. Notice the question is not whether or not you have been clothed in religion or clothed in nice garments to attend church. The question is, have you been clothed with power from on high? This clothing of power from on high is not just a feeling, it is not just that moment when the hair on your head feels like it stands up. It is not just the feeling of goosebumps rising on your arm or you fall out under the power of God. I embrace all manifestations that are truly the Holy Spirit, however when you get clothed with power this is a power to be a witness for Christ to the ends of the earth according to Acts 1:8. Many have been slain in the Spirit and even spoken in tongues, but they do not live their life clothed in the power of the Holy Spirit. God has sent you the Holy Spirit of Promise.

The word promise in Greek means a summons, an announcement of what is fitting, a pledge, a divine assurance. When you get clothed with power from on high there is a divine assurance that arises inside of you that God is going to show up and help you advance His kingdom with power.

He tells them that they must tarry until they are endued with power from on high. To tarry in Greek means to wait and sit down until you are clothed with power. In other words, Jesus didn’t want them going out preaching and teaching or trying to advance the Kingdom of God until they were clothed with power. In America and across the globe it would be to the church’s benefit to not try to do ministry without the promised fire power of the Holy Ghost. If the church is going to be effective in the harvest fields then we must give that moment where we are transformed by the fire of the Holy Ghost and propelled into our purpose.

Matthew 3:11 says, “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”

To be endued with power in Greek means to be clothed or to sink into your spiritual garments. Your spiritual garments are the Holy Spirit of promise. When this happens you will have a boldness that you did not have before. When you are clothed in the fire power of heaven you will begin to walk in purity, passion, and power to facilitate the advancement of the Kingdom of God on the earth.

2. DONT COMPROMISE PENTECOST

When the Word of God is clear that the real power of God is available to the body of Christ then we should never compromise Pentecost. There is no need to have fake counterfeit manifestations when we can have the real thing.

Acts 2 says, “When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

After the wind and the fire of the Holy Spirit came the church was born with the power to do exploits. From that moment the Gospel was preached with power accompanied by miracles, signs, and wonders. Thousands were saved and baptized in water and baptized in the Holy Ghost. The testimony of those who were clothed in power through the book of Acts was that these men exceedingly trouble the city and they turn the whole world upside down. God desires to raise up a generation that walks in nothing less than real Pentecostal power.

3. ARE YOU CLOTHED WITH THE PROMISED FIRE POWER?

The question is, are you clothed with the promised fire power? This Holy Spirit fire power is available to all believers who are willing to obey God.

Acts 2:39 says, “For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”

Acts 5:32 says, “And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.”

The time is now to step into the spiritual fire power that God desires to empower your life with. When Peter and John were clothed in power they could bring healing to the man at Gate Beautiful. When Stephen was clothed in power he was able to forgive them while they stoned him. When Paul and Silas were clothed in power they could praise God while in jail causing a supernatural jailbreak. The list goes on and on about the manifestation of His power. What will you accomplish in the Kingdom of God as the fire power of the Holy Spirit comes upon you?
